REQUIREMENTS FOR UTILITY MODEL APPLICATIONS IN MOLDOVA

Documents which must be filed at the time of filing of the application:

1. The application form stating:

a. the applicant's full name, domicile and address;

b. the inventor's full name, domicile and address;

2. The specification of the utility model containing:

a. the title of the utility model;

b. the field of the utility model;

c. the description of related art (background of the utility model);

d. the detailed description (disclosure) of the subject matter of the utility model;

e. the list of drawings or other illustrative material, if any;

f. the examples of implementation of the utility model;

g. the claims, divided into two parts, the prior art part and the characterizing part.

Information and documents which must be filed within two months of the filing date:

1. The abstract of the utility model.

2. Official fee payment confirmation.

3. The Power of Attorney (notarization is not necessary).The Power of Attorney must indicate the date and place of signature, the applicant's full name and status of the signing official, and the stamp.

4. Priority data (date, No. of the initial application, the country of priority), in case the conventional priority is claimed.

Documents which must be filed within three months of the filing date:

1. The copy of the initial application.
